Introduction to the Pinnacle Brand #PinnacleHealthyPets

This post is sponsored by Pinnacle and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping create awareness about Pinnacle’s Newly Formulated Grain Free Dog Food, but Bones and Fishes only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Healthy pet nutrition is very important to us, and I’m always looking for the best option, so when I heard about Pinnacle®, I was very curious. While the company has been around for 17 years, I had never paid it much attention, so I wanted to know more. Back in 1998, they started as one of the first natural holistic dog foods, focusing on quality ingredients like quinoa, sweet potato, pumpkin, sea kelp, cottage cheese. They use limited ingredient, grain free recipes to craft their foods at their California plant. Their foods contain high-quality proteins and fiber, which help with easy digestion.

That all sounds great, so Bentley and I set out to find out where we can buy Pinnacle dog food.

Pinnacle Brand pet food at Mud Bay Pet Store

On their website, Pinnacle has an interactive map to locate retailers that carry this brand. Using the map, we found a lot of stores in our area. We’re a little out in the country, so it was nice to find so many locations nearby. The feed stores I frequent for chicken food both carry Pinnacle brand, as well as all of the local chains and mom & pop pet stores. The shop by our post office stocks it, and the nice lady who runs the place assured me that she can order any flavor or size if I have a special request. We also stopped in at Mud Bay, a local chain that only stocks the best pet food brands. They had a large stock of Pinnacle in large bags and small. Bentley could hardly contain his excitement – no, really. Getting him to hold still for the pictures was next to impossible!

This face means “Please can I eat it now??”

Next we’ll be doing a taste test. Bentley has a very refined palate (ok, he’s just picky), so his approval will mean a lot. Stay tuned for our next post about Pinnacle brand to see what he has to say about it! In the meantime, you can connect with Pinnacle on Facebook and on the Pinnacle Twitter account.

He was making faces the whole time I was trying to get pictures! But I guess that’s pretty normal for him. lol

Bentley looks super excited about trying it. Mr. N is picky too and he’d rather starve than eat things he doesn’t like because he’s like that.

We just donated most of a 30 pound bag of kibble to a rescue because Bentley refused to eat it! We’ve been trying new things to see what he likes. I’m looking forward to this one!

I was getting frustrated trying to take pictures of a super wiggly dog until it occurred to me that I was capturing his true crazy hyper personality, rather than a posed picture. They make me smile now. lol

This is a new brand we haven’t seen in our local pet store, but if I do, I might try a bag of the trout variety in the dog’s rotation. It looks like a great food. And they LOVE the stinky fish!
