Quincy and Bentley Do Not Cooperate

The boys got new sweaters from out awesome friend Jill, and they wore them on our outing to the plant nursery. This particular nursery goes all out for the holidays, so it’s always fun to browse, and there are a lot of great settings for pictures. Just inside the main gate I found a nice spot to take a picture of them. I figured I’d just have them sit real quick, snap a picture, and we’d be on our way. (Ok, stop laughing. I was being terribly optimistic)

Of course, it’s never that easy. Quincy and Bentley do not cooperate. What I imagined would be “sit, stay *click* good boys!” turned into “Bentley sit, Quincy sit, good… Bentley sit, Quincy… Bentley get back here. Quincy sit. Good boy. Bentley sit…. No, Quincy, sit… Ok, crap, I mean… (“ok” is their release word) Sit! Bentley…. Come back here… Quincy!”

At this point I heard giggling behind me. I looked over my shoulder and there were no less than TEN people standing there watching this circus. TEN!

I hurried to get them sitting and snapped a couple quick picture, then stood to flee in embarrassment. Someone from the crowd called out “did you get it?” I called back “yes, thank you!” and ran away to hide.

I tried again a little later, and they cooperated a little better! And this time we didn’t draw a crowd, thank goodness! As much as I enjoy having someone admire my dogs, a crowd of people watching me struggle with these little goobers is a bit much!

hahahahah I am laughing out loud and I can so understand and relate. We did holiday pics with Coco and Dex this weekend and it is always crowd gathering. of course, I had two people with me to help but they still decided to look off and daydream. Q an B are co stinkin cute and I hope Santa is extra special to them. TY for sharing!

I was hoping to get them looking at the camera, and I’m just glad they held still long enough for one clear picture! lol Bentley was having some much fun bouncing around and sniffing everything, in retrospect, I’m surprised I got any! You can see his look of concentration in the first picture, with his ears back. It took ALL his effort to sit for 3 seconds! lol You know Santa will be loading them up for Christmas!

Mr. N usually likes having his photo taken. People laugh at him/us too but it’s usually because he likes to “pose.”

Thanks! Me too. I figured out some things during my break, and it’s already been more rewarding in the past week than it was in the previous 2 years! That’s not saying a whole lot, really, but I’m having a lot more fun with it. 🙂

I take photos of Wynston everywhere I go. No shame – he will sit and stay so I can snap away! He’s very well trained for it now though, which I guess is why he models for PetSmart now! The photos turned out great! So super cute <3

I love to do photos and usually Mom just puts me in setting and a few seconds later we have our shot and are on our way unless there is a situation where I figure I can make Mom look like a fool, then I refuse to do what I’m told…just like I don’t go to the bathroom on a walk until a whole bunch of people are out on their lawn at which point I like to take a nice, big leisurely dump! Mom’s embarrassment is priceless every time!

I feel for you trying to get photos of two dogs at once. I think our last holiday photo took hundreds of shots to get just one that we liked!
